Finding The Best Penny Stocks On Reddit
I see a lot of people talking about penny stocks on Reddit, one on the main topics is dilution and I get why. Nobody wants to watch their shares lose value because a company keeps issuing more stock.
But here’s something I’ve been thinking about.
companies trading as penny stocks need money to survive and grow. Buying shares on the open market doesn’t put money into the company’s bank account. Somebody has to finance the business directly.
So when I see a company issuing shares, I want to know who’s putting the money in, what they’re getting in return, and what the company plans to do with it.
Sometimes shares are issued to settle old debt rather than bring in new money. That’s another thing worth understanding.
But here’s the part I’m really interested in.
If someone is financing a company directly and getting shares at negotiated terms, why don’t more retail investors look into whether they can participate in those financings too?
Obviously, not every deal is available to everyone, and discounted or restricted shares come with their own risks.
I’m not saying dilution is good or bad. I’m saying there might be another way to look at these companies besides just watching the daily share price.
Curious how many people here have ever looked into investing directly in an OTC company rather than just buying its stock through a broker.
